To apply for membership, follow these easy steps.

STEP #1 - Determine if you're eligible.
Applicants must meet ONE of the following criteria:

1. Accredited member of the Public Relations Society of America. If a resident of Canada, an Accredited member in good standing of the Canadian Public Relations Society (CPRS) who has been actively engaged for at least one year in providing counseling service, either as full-time principal, officer, partner or employee of a public relations firm or of a department or organization which is fully compensated on a fee basis in rendering such service to clients.

OR

2. PRSA or CPRS member who is a counselor with ten years of experience in the field, including at least one at the senior management level.

STEP #2 - Print and mail/fax this form 
Answer all questions IN FULL, remembering that sufficient detail is required to give persons who do not know the applicant a clear picture of qualifications. If necessary, forward supplemental information. If accredited, please complete only Section I; if not accredited, complete Sections I and II.

STEP #3 - Submit form and payment.

For mail/fax registration, sign the application and include complete credit card number and expiration date or enclose check for $280 ($85 initiation fee + $195 annual dues) to cover the Counselors Academy initiation fee and mail both to PRSA, Attention: Counselors Academy, 33 Maiden Lane, 11th floor New York, NY 10038-5150.

If, for any reason, the application is not approved, the initiation fee will be refunded in full.

Annual dues are $195. If you join up to six months after the anniversary date of your PRSA membership, you will be charged a full year's dues; if you join more than six months after the anniversary date of your PRSA membership, you will be charged a half-year's dues. Thereafter, you will be billed according to your PRSA membership dates.
