Michelle Olson is president of Olson Communications, Inc., a firm she founded in 2002 after 18 years in a public relations firms and integrated advertising agencies in Arizona and Minneapolis. Her public relations practice has primarily focused on crisis communications and national consumer and trade media relations for various industries, including real estate, government, hospitality/tourism, golf, retail, healthcare and professional sports. She previously was director of public relations for Lavidge & Baumayr Public Relations in Scottsdale, Ariz., and a leader of B.J. Communications, Inc., one of the largest public relations firms in Phoenix, Ariz.

Michelle is a past president of the Phoenix Chapter of PRSA, served on the board of directors for six years and as the chapter delegate to National Assembly for five years. She was recognized in January 2003 by the Phoenix Chapter with the prestigious Percy Award for her contributions to the public relations industry. She has been an active member of Counselors Academy since 1996.

She was chairman for the 2005 Counselors Academy Spring Conference.
